Here, on the edge of the forest above Gais, there are not only busy dairy cows and calves - here is also the place where plants grow and flourish in all colours and flavours.
A jungle at the edge of the forest. Tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines, peas and beans, beetroot and carrots in all the colours of the rainbow - yes, even artichokes and salsify thrive here, right next to us. And of course potatoes, the secret gold of Val Pusteria.
Around 30 dairy cows and over 20 calves live at the Perntal in airy loose housing. We have specialised in Simmental cattle and are now the second generation to breed these robust animals. They supply us with daily delicious fresh milk and are our guarantee for genuine quality meat.
